For our UK customers, VAT exemption is available on wigs purchased for medical reasons. If you wear wigs due to conditions such as Alopecia, chemotherapy treatment, or any other medical condition resulting in hair loss, and this has been confirmed by a GP, you are considered a medical wearer. In such cases, you are entitled to have the VAT deducted from the cost of your wig at the time of purchase. Please note that this exemption applies to wigs only, not to accessories.

To claim your VAT exemption, you'll need to register for an account on our website and then complete the VAT declaration. Once this is done and Wigs4u have authorised this, you can place you order and all future orders will be VAT-free as long as you are logged into your account.

Should your medical condition change, you must not claim VAT relief and should inform Wigs4u immediately.

Kindly note that we cannot deduct VAT from orders after payment has been made.

Be aware that there are penalties for making false declarations. If you have any doubts about your eligibility for zero-rated VAT goods or services, please refer to Notice 701/7 VAT Reliefs For Disabled People or contact the National Advice Service at 0300 123 1073 before signing the declaration. By signing the form, you confirm your eligibility to reclaim VAT as defined in the above Notice.
